Nicolas van Deth
Re-recording mixer, sound designer, co-director
After studying musicology, he began in 2000 a training program in sound engineering at Novocom School, alternating with work at Studio Orlando in Paris. He quickly gained hands-on experience as a sound editor, foley engineer, and mixer, working on series, documentaries, and, as early as 2001, feature films.
After several years as a freelancer and many films to his credit, he moved to Geneva in 2005 and joined Studio Shazam. He played an active role in developing the studio’s audio-for-picture activities before taking on co-directorship in 2016 alongside Xavier Fernandez.
Since then, he has devoted all his energy to his passion: bringing films to life through sound post-production.
Xavier Fernandez
Sound engineer, co-directeur
Trained at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, he joined Studio Shazam in 1990. There, he recorded and mixed numerous music albums while developing a strong activity in producing radio spots and composing music for advertising.
Studio co-director since 2003, he specializes in directing voice-over talent as well as sound design and mixing for TV and web commercials.
Recognized and appreciated by clients for his exceptional listening skills and adaptability, he constantly strives to go further in order to achieve the perfect result for each project.
